Ponds
The key to having a successful water garden is information. We are here to help you strike the perfect balance between
pond size, location and purpose.
Water gardens can be used to attract birds, have fun with fish, to grow water lilies or just to have the calming noise of water
trickling down a waterfall. Our resident pond expert Mike Rivest is here to answer any questions you have about installing a new water
feature or maintaining an existing one.
Every year Mike brings in new and interesting water plants and a full line of pumps, lighting and water treatments. We carry Koi,
goldfish and mosquito fish, which can all add appeal to a pond and help control insects.
Ideally a pond should have 60% of its surface protected from the sun, to do this we have a full supply of water lilies, floating water
plants and marginals to help provide this shade. There is also a selection of oxygenators to help purify your pond water as well.
We keep renovating our water gardening time to time, be sure to come in this season and see what changes we have made.
Fountains
At GardenWorks Penticton, we carry a wide variety of fountains and water features. These fountains range anywhere from a couple
feet right up to six or seven feet high. Many can act as a centerpiece for an entire landscape, while others can add interest to
a patio or flowerbed.
Fountains are great assets for attracting birds and other wildlife to your yard and also provide people with the peaceful sound of
running water as they garden. Our staff will assist you with tips on getting your fountain set up and will make sure you know how
to keep it running perfectly for years to come.
